1. A mint foot bath 

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 cup of mint leaves
  • 4 cups of water 

Instructions : 

In a saucepan, pour the water and add the mint leaves, then bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and let cool for another 10 minutes. Once this time has elapsed, pour the infusion of mint into a basin and soak your feet for 30 minutes.

The stimulating and toning properties of mint will help activate blood circulation and reduce edema, and its antiseptic action will help cleanse the feet.

2. A foot bath with tonic water

In a basin, pour tonic water at room temperature, and soak your feet for 30 minutes. For more efficiency, you can use cold tonic water. Quinine and the bubbles it contains help fight inflammation and reduce edema, while providing a feeling of relief and well-being.  

3. Footbath with saltwater

Known for its effectiveness against tense muscles, Epsom salt is also highly recommended for getting rid of edema. Its high content of magnesium sulfate activates blood circulation and helps evacuate liquids accumulated in tissues. 

 To take advantage of its virtues, fill a basin with enough hot water to cover your ankles, then add half a cup of Epsom salt, and soak your feet for 10 to 20 minutes. Repeat this foot bath 2 to 3 times a week, depending on the severity of your condition.
