Of course, we often think that if we want to please others, we will get what we want. It could be anything, from material goods to their love and well, everything in between.
If you like people, you may have to learn that pleasing others comes at a very high price. It means giving up and wasting your time. Our lives are much shorter than most people realize, you can waste years doing the things that others want to do only to find on your deathbed that you have never followed your own dreams or even your heart in some cases.
People who make fun tend to make a lot of mistakes when it comes to pleasing others. They surround themselves with toxic people who are only in their life to take what they can. These people will make you feel that you are not good enough and that nothing is important to you. Being nice and pleasing people are two completely different things, you can be nice and know how to say no.
As humans, we need to establish healthy boundaries for the people in our lives. We must be able to take into account our own needs and wants. You will never get the love or respect you deserve when you please everyone around you. You need to make sure that you are truly happy before you worry about the happiness of others.

Just because you bow back to someone doesn’t mean you will like it or do you the same favor. Life just doesn’t work like that. You cannot waste all your patience and all your efforts on someone who does not deserve it. This is how we end up falling behind in our own lives.
And while thinking that good things will happen to those who do good to others, it’s a wonderful way to think, but it doesn’t always work that way. Some people just won’t be willing to do what you do. Sometimes being a little selfish is a good thing. It allows you to find that respect in yourself because if you respect yourself, I promise you a lot more willpower.
Just because facing those who don’t approve of what you want to do or what you live is scary doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t happen. Chase your own dreams and be your own person. You only have one life, live the life you want to live. Pleasant people are greatly overestimated.
